A recent infographic by Josh Bersin provides startling statistics: The average worker is online 27 times a day, unlocks their smartphone up to nine times per hour, and won’t watch videos longer than four minutes. In a typical work week, they can devote only 1% of their time to training and development.
Most employees now get their knowledge through informal channels outside of traditional training, from searching the Internet to talking with peers. In order to retain Millenials and outperform the competition, organizations must offer robust, ongoing and accessible informal learning.
